Create a playing field of 40x30 meters. Form 5 small goals (1 meter wide each) using the cones and place them in the field as shown in the figure. Split the players in two teamswith 7 players wearing the vests. One of the teams starts with the ball.
- At the starting signal, the team with the ball begins a possession game against the opponent team
- The objective of the team, in addition to maintaining the ball as long as possible, is to shoot at one of the 5 small goals to score 1 point.
- The point is assigned only if the ball, after passing through the small goal, is received by a teammate (ex. in the figure)
- After each goal, the game continues with the team who has possession trying to score again in another small goal.
- It's forbidden to score consecutive goals in the same small goal
- At the end of the exercise the team with the most points wins
- Go to goal only after 4 consecutive passes
- The number of ball touches allowed is unlimited during the match, but is very important that teams try to give the greatest speed possible during possession.
- Forming triangles to avoid the opposing players closing down passing lines
- Look at the negative transition, once the ball have been lost the player who is near the ball presses the opponent while their teammates get closer
- Look at the distances between the players, spreadout when in possession, compact when trying to win the ball back
- Look at the body's orientation receiving the ball, it must be always facing the largest part of the field
- Encourage the Give and Go: after passing the ball to a teammate, the player keeps on running to enter another free space where they can receive the ball again
- Ideal minimum units: the ball-carrier must have a minimum number of teammates to ensure a pass at any time (one forward and one back at least)
- The closest player to the ball carrier must decide what to do, an approaching movement or away into space, activating in this way the movements of their teammates
- Encourage players to perform a counter attack to get out of man marking and receive the ball
- To create continuous movement and maintain appropriate positioning, if two players are close on the same line, horizontal or vertical on the field, they must move to create diagonal game lines
