Arrange, with markers, a playing area. Arrange the two goals in the center of both short sides of the field. Divide the players into two teams of ten members each using jerseys (red versus white team). A 5 v 5 is played inside the field. The rest of the players from both teams stand staggered on the outside of the two long sides of the field with two teammates near the opponent's goal (as in the picture). The goalkeepers position themselves to defend the goals. Keep a good supply of balls on either side of the goals.
- 5 v 5 match with finishing in the opponent's goal and with outside teammates serving as flank players
- After 3 minutes, all players inside the field come out sprinting and then position themselves as outer flanks, while players stationed outside come sprinting inside the field ready to restart with the 5 v 5 match (reversal of outside players with inside players)
- The players of the team not in possession of the ball must develop a continuous and intense pressing to try to win it back
- After 2 consecutive sets have all the players recover for 2 minutes
- Inside the field play with a maximum of three ball touches
- Flanks have one touch available for the play
- After a goal is scored, the goalkeeper of the team that scored restarts with a new play
- Place a neutral player inside the field who plays with the team in ball possession
- Place the flanks not only laterally along the long sides of the field, but also on the side of the opponent's goals along the short sides of the field
- Manage the timing of playing and recovery time according to the pursued objectives: speed endurance, explosive strength, lactacid capacity, aerobic power, etc.
- Encourage a continuous pressing when not in ball possession
- Useful drill to train players to get away from their markers and to place themselves correctly, to receive the ball in constant mobility
- Encourage players in ball possession to seek for help by their (flank) mates, to develop numerical superiority
- Improve ball possession with high intensity
- During this drill, team communication is very important
- Take care of technical and tactical aspects in 1 v 1duels
