Starting from the baseline, create a playing area measuring 40×50 meters/44×55 yards. Divide the field into three zones: the finishing zone (penalty area) and two other zones of equal size (as shown in the picture). Form two teams, one with eight attackers (white team) and one with five defenders (red team). In the zone furthest from the goal, place three white attackers against three red defenders, while in the central zone place two white attackers against two red defenders. Outside the short side of the starting zone (the zone furthest from the goal), place a white attacker in possession of the ball. A white attacker is positioned outside both long sides of the field. A goalkeeper defends the goal.
- The game involves simplified situations in which the team with numerical superiority aims to score a goal by reaching the finishing zone through dribbling or an assist
- The exercise begins with the white outside attacker with the ball entering the first playing area where there is a 3v3 situation: they can draw opponents towards them to free up a teammate or choose to pass the ball to one of the outside teammates, who will try to draw an opponent out to create superiority inside
- Once the three red defenders have been bypassed and the ball has been brought into the central zone, the player attempts to get past the other two red defenders and enter the finishing zone to score a goal
- Players have free ball touches but are advised to make only the necessary touches
- Players in possession of the ball can change zones by dribbling or passing and then following the action by advancing their position
- The three defenders in the starting zone cannot return to the central zone to help their teammates
- The outside players cannot enter the playing zones
- The outside players can move along the entire sideline
- Defenders can leave the playing area sideways with the intention of tackling the outside attackers
- Defenders and attackers can freely change zones
- Once an opponent has been eliminated from the starting zone, a player must advance by dribbling or making a pass and then follow the action in the central zone, in order to create a 3v2 situation
- Once inside the central area, the player in possession of the ball must observe the defenders and decide what to do based on their behavior: if the defenders leave their marking to press the ball, the ball carrier plays with the free teammate who finishes on goal; if, on the other hand, the defenders mark, the ball carrier tries to run into the penalty area to finish the action
- Central players can use their teammates on the outside to draw an inside defender toward the outside of the playing area, freeing up players in the central area
- For players without the ball when their team is in possession:
- Try to create a free passing lane when your direct opponent comes out to press your teammate
- Try to increase the distance from the opponent who is pressing your teammate in possession of the ball
- Once you receive the ball free from marking, accelerate your dribbling to avoid the opponent's tackle
