Goal: Peripheral vision, Anticipation, Sensoperceptive capacity, Feints and tricks, Losing your marker, Finishing, Marking, Tackling, Improvisation, Mobility, Pressing

Coaching points:

  • Focus on players capability to occupy the right field zones. Attacking and defending with the right timings is essential
  • The exercise provides for several variables (the score is based on the difference between scored goals and conceded goals, the throw in is sequential, and each team has 2 goals to attack), making complex the players assimilation. Proposing this soccer drill many times during the season will allow to train better several issues such as concentration, positioning and match rhythm
  • Stimulate high intensity. Facing two different opponents will lead to have rare pauses inside the pentagon and lots of 1 vs 1 situations
