In the playing area set up for the exercise, place two poles about 6 meters apart. Tie an elastic band about half a meter above the ground between the poles. Place a cone 4 meters to the right and left of the elastic band. The goalkeeper stands in the center of the elastic band. The coach stands in front of the 6-meter pole with a good supply of balls (as shown in the picture).
- The exercise consists of two sets per theme for repetitions. The themes are: ground ball, dunk ball, rebounds, mid-height shots, and high shots
- For the rebound and high shot themes, the trainer throws a ball with his hands, and after each save, the goalkeeper must return it from the ground or as soon as he gets up
- Below is an example of how to perform the exercise:
- The goalkeeper performs a somersault over the elastic band and makes a save on the cone
- The goalkeeper returns to the elastic band running sideways, looking at the coach
- He performs a somersault over the elastic band and makes a second save on the other cone
- Change the starting side between sets
- The goalkeeper saves shots by deflecting them (low shots, rebounds, and high shots with one hand; dunk balls mid-height shots with two hands)
- Pay attention to the goalkeeper's coordination during saves
