Organization
The goalkeeper stands in the goal to occupy the goalkeeper's area. The trainer stands on the penalty spot with ten different balls (soccer balls number 4 and 5, volleyball, rugby, tennis, etc.).
Description
- The objective of the game is to keep the ball from falling to the ground inside the goalkeeper's area
- The goalkeeper who manages not to drop the ball ten times consecutively wins
- The trainer throws one ball in the air at a time with high trajectories; the goalkeeper must try to block the ball and, once caught, returns it to the trainer
- The trainer will continue to throw one ball at a time until one falls to the ground or until the tenth consecutive ball is caught
Coaching Points
- Exercise with a playful component that should encourage fun
- Goalkeepers are stimulated to catch the ball but also to evaluate trajectory
- Using balls of different size and texture helps the goalkeeper in the sensitization of the approach to the impact
