Organization
Eight players stand in a circle, and two defenders are placed in the middle of it.
Description
- Players perform an 8 v 2 piggy in the middle
- When one of the two defenders in the center retrieves the ball, he takes the place of the player whose ball was intercepted
- Players have a maximum of two touches
Coaching Points
- Very useful exercise to train retention of the ball in numerical superiority
- The exercise helps to put the player in the best condition to face the next activities (training, match)
- Useful warm-up exercise to increase cardiovascular and muscular activity
- Players should perform the rondo at a fast pace
- Encourage the two defenders to predict in advance the intentions of the 8 players to make sure they close the passing lines as soon as possible
