Exercise 1: In the space between the edge of the penalty area and the midfield line, place six markers to form a hexagon. Place a marker in the center of the hexagon. Place another cone at the edge of the penalty area. A player stands next to each marker. A goalkeeper defends the goal.
Exercise 2: In the space between the edge of the penalty area and the center line, place six markers to form a hexagon. Place a marker in the center of the hexagon. Place another one at the edge of the penalty area. Position a player next to each marker. Position a defender (white players) in each half of the hexagon. Position a goalkeeper to defend the goal.
- Exercise 1:
- If you want to maintain the roles established at the beginning of the exercise, one player must remain on each marker; otherwise, after each pass, players will move according to an order established by the coach
- Players must follow the order of passes to perform a lofted pass and then shoot on goal

- Exercise 2:
- The players inside the markers must pass the ball to one of the two vertices and go to the opposite side of the vertex that received the ball to make the lofted pass
- The two defenders are positioned on either side of the shape and must intercept the ball

- Exercise 1: The markers only provide an indication of space, but players must move to receive the ball and position themselves for the play
- Exercise 2: Players must remain inside the markers; only the outside player going for the lofted pass can leave the markers to make the play
- Exercise 1: You can vary the different passing lanes to achieve the desired plays, both from a technical and tactical perspective
- Exercise 2: Add a third defender to increase the difficulty of possession
- Correct passing, control, and posture
- Perform the exercise at a fast pace
- Get players used to making plays mainly in a vertical direction
- Players must know how to choose the right plays by reading the tactical situation
