Timing, First touch, Pass, Support, Shooting, Collaboration |
The game is played on one half of the court. Near the end line, on the side, place the starting marker for players A and E, both in possession of a ball. Place the starting marker for player B about 15 meters/16 yards in front of this marker. Place the starting marker for player C in a central position on the halfway line. Place the starting marker for player D on the same horizontal line as player B's one, but on the opposite side. A goalkeeper defends the goal.
Below is the combination of passes:
- Player A passes the ball to teammate B
- B gives the ball back to player A, who is running towards them
- Player A passes the ball diagonally to teammate C
- C passes the ball to player B, who is running towards them
- Player B switches play with a horizontal pass to teammate D
- D passes the ball diagonally to player C, who is running forward
- Player C shoots at goal, while D advances along the side to offer width
Players' rotation (yellow arrows):
- A, after passing the ball to C, moves to B's position
- B, after switching play to D, moves to C's position
- C, after shooting at goal, moves to D's position
- D recovers the ball and moves to the starting position
For the second series, players switch starting sides.
- If possible, perform the passes with one touch
- Add mannequins to simulate opponents
- Encourage quality passing that is powerful on the player and measured in terms of space
- Teach players to read the timing
- Rotation between players must be dynamic
- Encourage players to maintain high focus during the exercise to improve their technique
