Create a 45x35-meter/49x38-yard field with markers (place four cones at the vertices of the playing area). Divide the field into two equal parts with a horizontal line of markers placed halfway along the length of the playing area. In both halves of the field toward the end line, place two goals formed with the posts about 5 meters wide, placed vertically or at 90 degree angles to the end line of the field (as in the picture). Around the field of play, outside the perimeter, place some soccer balls. Divide the players into two teams of equal numbers (of six or seven players each). Each team (white vs. red in the picture) defends a goal placed in one half of the field, while they must try to score in the other goal (opposing field area).
- Ball possession with free ball touches is played between the two teams with the objective of scoring goals
- To get to the goal, shots can be taken from either the right or the left side by taking advantage of the goal position arranged vertically, this forces teams to maneuver in width with insertions without the ball for attacking depth
- If the team that scores in the opponent's goal intercepts the ball while retaining possession, they can continue to play in an attempt to score a second time without interrupting play
- The defending team must cover both sides of their goal to avoid conceding goals
- In order for the point to be valid, it is not enough to score a goal in the opponent's goal; the ball must be passed into the goal and must be controlled by a teammate who is positioned on the other side (transmission to a teammate through the goal)
- In order for the goal to be valid, the whole team must go up to the opponent's half of the field
- Vary the size of the field and consequently the number of players
- Insert a joker who plays with those in possession of the ball (numerical superiority is exploited during possession)
- Add another goal for each half of the field. So in each half of the field there will be two goals placed vertically at least 10-15 meters/11-16 yards apart, for a total of four goals in the playing area
- Encourage the search for alternatives to exploit the width of play in possession
- If the defending players do not attack the ball carriers, but only station themselves in defense of their own goal, validate the goal in both goals that are in the two halves of the field. In this way, we force the defending team to chase down opposing ball carriers to win the ball
- Stimulate movement without the ball for unmarking deep to receive the verticalization
- Players must be able to focus on ball and goal references at all times with correct stance and body posture to allow a better view of the game
